Increasing system performance

The following tips are meant for users of the new Windows XP operating system.

If you have 512 MB or more of memory, you can increase system performance by having the core system kept in memory. Start Regedit and go to HKEY--LOCAL--MACHINE\SYSTEM.

Click on \CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager. Now click on the \Memory Management\DisablePagingExecutive. Set the value to 1 and reboot the computer.
