Professional tax hike on the anvil
An enhancement in the ceiling on profession tax from Rs 2,500 per annum to Rs 7,500 per annum is on the cards.
The Finance Ministry is set to seek the Cabinet's approval to cap the ceiling on profession tax at Rs 7,500 per annum. -- BL Research Bureau
