IT returns filing date extended
THE last date for filing income tax returns for the assessment year, 2001-02 has been extended to November 30 by the Central Board of Direct Taxes.
The one-month extension period is applicable to assesses filing IT returns under the one-by-six criteria. The six criteria are: Occupation of immovable property, ownership of lessee or motor vehicle, subscription of telephone, credit card, incurring expenses on foreign travel, and membership of a club. - BL Research Bureau
