Fee for US visa up

The US Consulate, Chennai, has revised the fee for TT services, courier passbook and student visa drop box criteria. The fee for these services will now be Rs 300 per passport, and applies to all TT service locations in South India -- Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Students applying for four-year undergraduate programmes or graduate programmes, leading to a master's degree or doctoral degree, with scholarship or assistantship can apply through the drop box (details available at www.madras.sphynx.com).

The scholarship/assistantship should cover at least 50 per cent of the first year's total expenses. These changes are effective November 1. - BL Research Bureau
