aXcess Plus

Standard Chartered has launched aXcess Plus -- a savings account that can be accessed as a globally valid debit card. The debit card would be issued in tandem with Visa International. It offers 24 access and for 365 days a year at 1100 ATMs that display the Visa logo. The access would be free of charge for up to four withdrawals per month in India.

The debit card can also be used to purchase goods at over 25,000 VISA Electron outlets and to 6,50,000 ATMs, globally. It also comes with a personal accident insurance for Rs 2.5 lakh, zero lost card liability for up to Rs 50,000, discounts on airline tickets, and global purchase protection up to Rs 15,000 for 90 days. - BL Research Bureau
