A fair to remember


  • Dates: May 27, 28 and 29, 2005.
  • Venue: University Of Madras


    The Hindu Education Plus along with Indian Bank bring you Career Fair 2005 in Chennai, a 3-day event organised in association with the University of Madras.

    This is an education fair which will feature a pre-counselling guidance programme for professional courses. The fair will have several leading colleges and institutes offering various disciplines. Each day is packed with numerous activities that include counselling, lectures on career options, employability seminars and so much more.

    Who is this fair for?

    Students who have passed Plus-Two passed and others aspiring to take up engineering and medical professional courses.

    Graduates who wish to go for higher studies or are interested in taking up a job.

    Students of 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of any graduate stream.


    Parents who are keen on their children (right from class IX onwards) taking up the right career.

    The fair will have stalls in different categories such as engineering colleges, IT training institutes, coaching centres, education abroad, just to name a few. The presenting sponsor, Indian Bank, offers special and tailor-made education loans. The pre-counselling guidance programme for professional courses is sponsored by AIMS education. The IT EDGE — exclusive sessions on IT education will be presented by NIIT. The Off-beat Career Options sessions is sponsored by DO-IT institute. The employability seminars are sponsored by STC. General counselling on all three days will be done by the University of Madras. ITC Classmate — the stationery division of ITC — is the gift sponsor, BSNL the communication partner and SABOL, the H2O partner. Students who walk in can benefit from a Psycho Profiling test that will gauge their aptitude and employability. This test will be done by BODHI.

    Registration can be done at the venue on all three days. Students who attend all three-days need not register when they re-enter. Parents can accompany their wards. There will be free gifts for every student and exciting contests and prizes.
