Power disruption at the Eden Gardens media centre

Kolkata (PTI): The media centre at the Eden Gardens plunged into darkness for three minutes during the Kolkata Knight Riders Indian Premier League match against Bangalore Royal Challengers on Thursday.

The lights dimmed and then went out at 10-30 pm, making the journalists apprehensive of losing valuable data from their laptops here on Thursday.

A Cricket Association of Bengal official claimed that the the disruption was caused by a power cut effected by the power utility CESC.

On April 20, Kolkata was shamed when the match between the Deccan Chargers and the Knight riders was halted for 31 minutes as lights in two of the four floodlight towers went out.
