Tour de France sets off on 2nd stage
MONACO (AP) Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland was wearing the race leader's yellow jersey as the 180 riders set off for the second stage of the Tour de France.
Seven-time winner Lance Armstrong, pre-race favorite Alberto Contador and other possible title contenders are likely to ride easy in the 187-kilometer (116.2-mile) stage from Monaco to Brignoles.
The stage features four minor climbs and is likely to favor breakaway riders or sprinters for the finish after the ride Sunday along the sun-baked hills of France's Mediterranean coast.
Cancellara won Saturday's opening time trial. Contador _ the 2007 Tour champion _ is second, 18 seconds behind _ and Armstrong is 10th, 40 seconds behind the leader.
The Tour ends July 26 in Paris.
