Los Angeles (PTI): Angelina Jolie has become the highest paid actress in Hollywood outperforming Jennifer Aniston who came second.

The Oscar-winning actress clinched the top-spot on the Forbes list by taking home USD 27 million this year, two million more than Aniston.

The major chunk of her earnings come from her blockbuster hit Wanted but reportedly she also got a huge sum for her upcoming film Salt where she plays a CIA agent accused of being a Russian spy, reported the magazine.

Aniston who had a successful year with films like Marley and Me and He Is Just Not That Into You took home a good USD 25 million.

Meryl Streep, who won an Oscar for her performance in Doubt was third in the list with earnings worth USD 24 million followed by Sex and the City Sarah Jessica Parker who earned USD 23 million. Cameron Diaz, who took home USD 20 million rounded off the top five.
