HAVING PLAYED for your university or college in any sport is an
advantage only if you have kept up with your skills!
A national or regional level representation in debating or drama
is very attractive for Public Schools as these skills remain with
the practicant for life.
A pleasant personality, a jovial attitude and total proficiency
in one's subject is irresistible.
An image of a role-model elder sibling is to be projected as this
is what is looked for.
Innovation and independent thought is a highly prized asset.
A respect for authority is appreciated but subservience is
frowned upon!
Past participation in adventure sports is an advantage.
Clear speech and straightforward outlook improve chances of
success.
Multi-tasking was invented by public schools! You need to be
masters' of all trades, not just of one!
Display your inherent sense of fair play and justice. Honesty and
the core values are highly appreciated.
