regarding admission into FRI, Dehradun and other institutes if
any.
Rithin Das,

Some of the Universities offering a Masters Degree in
Environmental Sciences are the Awadesh Pratap Singh University at
Madhya Pradesh; Banaras Hindu University at Uttar Pradesh;
Bharati Vidyapeeth at Pune; Maharashtra, Gujarat University at
Ahmedabad; and the Gulbarga university at Gulbarga. The duration

For academic and training programmes in remote sensing, you can
correspond with academic institutes like the IITs, Roorkee
University, and REC Warangal which offer GIS at the master's
level. Selection for these programmes is through a common
entrance test and most of these institutes permit students from
multi-disciplinary subjects. Apart from the regular courses, many
institutes like Indian Space Research organization (ISRO),
National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA), Space Application Centre,
Ahmedabad, Survey Training Institute, Hyderabad, and the
Geological Survey of India conduct short term and long-term
courses and workshops on GIS and remote sensing at nominal fees.
Regular courses in remote sensing are available at the Indian
Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehra Dun and other ISRO/DOS
centres - Space Applications Centre, National remote Sensing
Agency and Regional Remote Sensing Service Centres. For more
details your can correspond with the institutes personally. The

A physiotherapist has to undergo three years of study and six
months of internship in a recognised institute or hospital. Some
of the courses are now for a period of 41/2 years. Employment
opportunities are good, as almost all hospitals, government or
private, require physiotherapists.
The National Institute for the Orthopaedically Handicapped,
Kolkata-700090 and the National Institute for Rehabilitation
Training & Research, Cuttack-754010 offer B.Sc. in Physiotherapy.
B.Sc. in Prosthetics and Orthopaedics is available at the All
India Institute of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Mumbai-
400034. For most of these courses the eligibility criterion is
intermediate (10+2) in Sciences with Biology and a minimum of 50%
marks. Admission is usually through a written test. However,
before applying for admission to any institution do ensure that
it is recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
Therapeutic massages, aroma therapy, reflexology, Tai Chi, Reiki
etc are some of the alternative courses in the healing arts that
may be of use to you. However, creativity at the workplace is
relative to every individual and his approach to work. If
interested, you can consider pursuing your career in an entirely
diverse field such as fine or performing arts.

know what GRE is, how to apply, and when to apply. Are there any
coaching classes for it? How does one do a PG course, MBA,
M.Tech. etc, is there any entrance exam to take?
Rajeev,
Jharkand
Most foreign universities test the candidate's knowledge in the
course being applied for, through the GRE or the Graduate Record
Examination. It is a computer-based test that can be written any
time of the year, though it is usually written before spring and
fall semesters.
Further information can be garnered from the GRE website
www.gre.org. An entry to most PG courses, whether in India or
abroad is through an entrance examination.
