A whole new package on Sony
Hostess Raageshwari in the forthcoming musical programme `Kuch Kehti Hai Yeh Dhun' to be aired on Sony channel.
HELPING PEOPLE find the right `match' is not the only thing Sony Entertainment channel is talking about these days. It may seem to be basking in the achievement of being the lucky one to launch the "Ek, do, teen'' star, but Madhuri Dixit Nene is only a part of a whole new package that the channel has on offer.
Apart from the Madhuri hosted "Kahin Na Kahin Koi Hai...'' that goes on the air on July 29, in the pipeline are three new shows "Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat'', "Bachke Rehna'' and "Kuch Kehti Hai Yeh Dhun''. And this package has its share of everything -- right from the thrills, drama, talent and stroke of luck.
The `K' fixation seems to continue with the new set of serials, even if only one of the shows is being produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms. Unlike her more popular family dramas, "Kya Hadsaa..'' will be a weekend thriller series.
A spine chilling mystery that more or less follows the old truism of truth being stranger than fiction, the story revolves around the life of a young Noyonika Chatterjee played by Pallavi Kulkarni.
Also launching soon are two new game shows. Although conceptually very different, both the programmes share the Bollywood factor between them. Making his debut on small screen with Sony will be actor Mohnish Behl too, who will be hosting "Bachke Rehna'', a new game show that actually `drops' the losers out of it. Adapted from the internationally popular Russian series ''Roulette'' this game is all about keeping a cool head.
``The concept of literally dropping out of the game through a hole in the stage floor is unique and creates intense excitement. It is a fast paced skill game where the probability of getting eliminated becomes greater with each passing round,'' points out Behl.
The other `star' attraction of the new shows will be singer Raageshwari who will host the "musical, money making'' show ''Kuch Kehti Hai Yeh Dhun''. A game show in `tune' to the likes of music lovers, trying to strike the right chords to take that jackpot back home will be the contestants while actress turned VJ and singer Raageshwari judges them.
Based on two popular game shows "Name that Tune'' and "Run for the Money'' the show will have rounds based on music based questions which will test the music knowledge of the participants.
