'Enthoo boys', a symbol of young achievers
THE STARK reality of the world outside college campus stares at students. The end of golden moments of college days means the beginning of anxious times ahead. Not many realise that the education, they had undergone has equipped them with entrepreneurial abilities.
Still many youngsters lose their valuable time in hunting for `sarkari' jobs. Invariably, everyone looks only for `white collar opportunities'. But when the moment of grabbing a job of one's taste comes, they have to reckon with their juniors as competitors.
For those souls low in confidence, here are four city youngsters who could be emulated by one and all. Four students of Madurai Kamaraj University College and the Sourashtra College, who had just stepped out of their institutions, had jumped into entrepreneurship.
Just in three months time they were able to host a website `www.enthoo.com', which they want to make as good as any other popular websites. They also offer free e-mail with free 3mb storage and POP3 access, spam protection, address book and calendar.
Greetings, job alerts, chat are some other free services. Matrimonial, free software and e-pals are other services, in which the team - comprising K.K. Loganathan, K.V.K. Prasanna, P.S.D. Achyutbabu and A.R. Ramkumar, - is working on.
The launch of the site, which is the fruit for their ceaseless effort and the self-confidence, has promoted them from mere students to professionals.
Considering the downtrend in the IT industry, they chose to work for themselves, instead of working for others.
Having experienced the problems of students of the field, who had to go all the way from here to Chennai or Bangalore, for doing their project works, these boys are offering all necessary guidance and facilities for undertaking projects at a cheaper rate.
The students can work in improving the site with innovative ideas. This makes twin purposes.
The students get hands on experience to face challenges in the industry and to complete their project of their choice with guidance.
For the `enthoo' boys, the site would keep them to reach greater heights.
