What are the ill effects of "Gulika" in the eighth house of a horoscope, and of Dasasandhi or Koottu Dasa? What are the remedies?

GULIKA is mentioned in Tamil texts. Some believe that Gulika and Maandi are the same, and others differ. Generally Gulika is not expected to give favourable results. In the Eighth House, Gulika can cause general weakness, and show a tendency to eye affliction. Gulika is taken into consideration for determining Lagna in doubtful cases, and for reckoning longevity. Remedies should be with reference to the disposition of the Planets and their role in Maha Dasa-s and Bhukthi-s. There is no textual authority attributing evil effects to Dasa Sandhi.
