Paintings by children

YOUNG ENVOYS association organised an exhibition of paintings by children and adults in the age group of four to 20 years. Titled `Sketch India-2002', the exhibition showcases an attractive set of 300 paintings (selected from the collection of 5002 entries) at the art gallery of the Rural art centre, `Sanskriti', at the Hyderguda village in R.R. district. The paintings, all in the size of 7 X 11 inches reflect the innocent and unpolluted thoughts of children. The topics range from games, festivals, nature, flora and fauna, rainbows, terrorism, village life, circus, family meets, soldiers in the border, peace doves, picnics, camp fires, swimming pools, etc. While 12 works were selected for silver crowns, 192 paintings for medals and 486 for jury honours besides certificates for all participants.
