Jaswant's Singapore visit postponed

SINGAPORE, DEC. 31. The External Affairs Minister, Mr. Jaswant Singh's proposed two-day visit to Singapore has been postponed indefinitely on account of his preoccupation with the Indian Airlines hijack crisis.

He was scheduled to arrive here on January 3 for discussions with his Singapore counterpart, Prof. S. Jayakumar, and the Prime Minister, Mr. Goh Chok Tong. Mr. Singh's other key engagement was a lecture under the auspices of the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies on January 4.
