CM orders removal of farm college Principal, varsity Dean

HYDERABAD, JAN. 6. The Chief Minister, Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu, has directed immediate replacement of the Principal of Agriculture College and Dean, Students Affairs of Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), and also announced an ex- gratia of Rs. 2 lakhs to the kin of the deceased student - Sudhakar. A statement from the Chief Minister's Office said Mr. Naidu expressed grief at the death to a delegation of students which met him at his residence on Thursday. The Chief Minister felt that the officials failed to rise up to the occasion to save the life of the student.

Meanwhile, students have decided to continue their indefinite fast as the Vice-Chancellor is yet to implement the directions of the Chief Minister.

It is said that staff members have decided to offer resignations from administrative posts if the two officials are removed. This has put the Vice-Chancellor in a peculiar situation.
