Campus jottings
Oh! So sweet! Look at them scurrying to class with bags that are
bigger than them. These are the children who are going to the
future citizens of our country and it is the school's
responsibility to mould them. Fun and frolic form a part of life
without which life becomes dull and sluggish. School life should
be memorable and the experiences of a child have an impact on his
future. School is his second home. Besides having fun, a child
has to show that he can be trusted and responsible enough during
the time spent on campus. Assignments, projects, exams are quite
enjoyable, if taken in the right sense. Children who detest them
should try and take them in their stride.
In a classroom the back-benchers are at an advantage. They do not
need a separate lunch or snack break. All they do is chat and
giggle, having tid-bits in between classes that most often result
in a hilarious scolding.
The day of excursion is a much-awaited one. But the best part is
the day before the school picnic. Sports Day and Annual Day are
two of our grand events. Children taking part go off for
rehearsal and have a gala time while, the others slog in class.
Observation of the night sky reveals the splendours of the
universe. And extra-curricular activities like dance and music,
are encouraged, so that children get an opportunity to reveal
their talents and skills. The canteen has delicious food, and the
swimming pool helps us relax after a tiring day - the best thing
in summer.
