Product finder portal launched

CHENNAI, JAN. 19. A business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce
website, named industrialproductsfind.com and promoted by India's
leading product portfolio magazine and venture capital
financiers, was launched here on Tuesday. IPFonline Ltd, will
offer features unique to the net and e-commerce.
In addition to core content, industrialproductsfind.com will have
news, analyses and features relevant to the vertical segments,
technologies, ongoing research work and business issues for B2B
users. As a value-added service, general and business news will
also be included.
Another feature of the site is a virtual permanent exhibition
centre where exhibitors can display products for a consideration.
A start is being made with the participants in the INTEC
machinery exhibition which concluded in Coimbatore recently.
Inaugurating the site, Mr. S. M. Datta, Chairman of the IL & FS
Venture Corporation (IVC), joint founder of the Tamilnadu
Information Technology Venture Fund along with the Tamilnadu
Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), said the site would
be of particular use to industrial managers.
Mr. L. Subramanyan, CEO of IPFOnline Ltd, said the company's site
was India's largest B2B portal. Mr. Ravi Parthasarathy, Chairman
of IPF Online and Vice-Chairman of IVC, said the site would be of
special value to small and medium enterprises.
