New SC judges sworn in

NEW DELHI, JAN. 28. Three new judges were today sworn in at the Supreme Court by the Chief Justice, Dr. A. S. Anand, in the Chief Justice's court.

With the induction of Mr. Justice Durai Swamy Raju and Mr. Justice Y.K. Sabharwal, chief justices of the high courts of Himachal Pradesh and Bombay, respectively and Mrs. Justice Ruma Pal, judge of the Calcutta High Court,

the strength of the Supreme Court Bench is 25 as against the prescribed 26.
