BJP president undergoes surgery

NEW DELHI, JAN. 28. The BJP president, Mr. Kushabhau Thakre, has been operated upon to remove blood circulation blockage in his leg yesterday.

According to party sources, Mr.Thakre is cheerful. Doctors at Gangaram hospital have shifted him to intensive care unit (ICU) to prevent any infection. Party vice-president, Mr.Shangapriya Gautam called on him at the hospital today.

Sources said he will be discharged after a week from the hospital.
