Nine nominations filed for Gudivada bypoll

HYDERABAD, JAN. 31. Nominations for the byelection to the
Gudivada Assembly seat came to a close on Monday with the total
number reaching nine. Four more nominations were filed on the
final day.
According to information available with the office of the Chief
Electoral Officer here, the four nominations filed today related
to Mr. Sistla Ramesh, Congress-I, and three others, two of them
Congress-I dummies, and one independent. The main contest is
likely to be between the Telugu Desam and Congress-I candidates -
Mr. Ravi Venkateswara Rao and Mr. Ramesh.
