Another Bihar Minister quits

PATNA, JAN. 31. The Bihar Minister of State for Minorities Welfare, Mr. Javed Iqbal Ansari, today resigned from the Rabri Devi Government after he was denied ticket to contest the coming Assembly elections.

Mr. Ansari becomes the eighth Minister to quit the State Cabinet in the wake of being denied a ticket. Another Minister, Mrs. Sita Devi, claiming that she had opted out of the contest on her own, said she would continue in office.
