Musharraf planning referendum?
ISLAMABAD, FEB. 3. In a bid to legitimise his rule, the Pakistan
military ruler, Gen. Pervez Musharraf, is reportedly planning to
hold a referendum next month.
Soon after his military coup in October last year, the General
had announced that he would hold a referendum, but he dropped the
idea. However, BusinessRecorder, published from Karachi, quotes
sources as saying that he was planning to hold the referendum
next month.
