Two naxalites killed

KARIMNAGAR, FEB. 3. Two naxalites belonging to the outlawed
People's War Group Malyal dalam were killed in an encounter with
the police on the Suravaram village outskirts of Velgatoor mandal
on Thursday morning.
According to the police, during combing operations by the special
parties in the hillocks, they noticed some persons moving under
suspicious circumstances. Asked about their identity, five
naxalites opened fire on the police and also hurled hand grenades
which did not exploded. In order to protect themselves, the
police retaliated the fire, killing two naxalites. Three others
escaped in the cover of darkness.
The police identified the naxalites as the deputy dalam commander
of Malyal dalam, Choppadandi Rajaiah alias Thonta Rajaiah and the
dalam member, Keshanpalli Satish alias Satyam, both hailing from
Kothapeta village. A tapancha, three hand grenades, some live and
spent rounds and a kit bag were also recovered from the scene.
