Clean sweep by Sri Lanka
LAHORE, FEB. 19. Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by 104 runs in the third
and final one-day cricket match on Saturday, making a 3-0 clean
sweep of the series.
Sri Lanka made 241 for nine in its allotted 50 overs with Marvan
Atapattu hitting a fine 77. Mahela Jayawardene made 43. Abdur
Razzak took four for 36 while Wasim Akram claimed three wickets.
Pakistan in reply was bundled out for 137, with opener Saeed
Anwar being the top scorer with only 30 runs.
Sri Lanka won the first match in Karachi by 29 runs and doubled
its lead with a 34-run win in the second at Gujranwala.
The three-match Test series commences with a game in Rawalpindi
starting on February 26.
