Tiruchirapalli counting today
By Our Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI, FEB. 28. The Election Commission today directed the
Returning Officer of the Tiruchirapalli II segment in Tamil Nadu
to go ahead with the counting of votes tomorrow. The Commission
had decided to stay the counting of votes for the by-election to
the Assembly segment after receiving complaints of irregularities
including issue of unofficial identity slips to voters by the
main contenders in contravention to the guidelines of the
Commission.
