Left to vote against Nitish Govt.

By Our Special Correspondent

VIJAYAWADA, MARCH 4. The CPI and the CPI (M-L) which have 11 MLAs in the Bihar Assembly would vote against the Nitish Kumar Government when the latter put its strength to test on the floor of the House, Mr. Dasari Nagabhushana Rao, member of the CPI National Council, said.

Addressing a press conference here today, Mr. Nagabhushana Rao said that the party National Council would meet at New Delhi on March 6 and 7 to decide whether to support the RJD in the Assembly or not.

Mr. Rao predicted that elections would become inevitable in Bihar in the next six or seven months because the present hung Assembly would not provide any stable Government.

He criticised the NDA Government at the Centre for misusing the office of the Governor to install the Nitish Kumar Government in Bihar.

As the RJD emerged as the single largest party with 123 MLAs and as the largest alliance group enjoying the support of more than 150 MLAs, the Governor should have called the RJD leader to form the Government. But the Governor acted in haste and invited Mr. Nitish Kumar only to thwart the efforts of the Congress-I to enlist the support of the JMM for RJD, Mr. Rao said .

Mr. Rao did not agree that had the CPI and CPI-ML extended their support to the RJD, the Governor would not have invited Mr. Nitish Kumar to form the Government. He did not rule out the possibility of the CPI supporting the RJD Government.

He said that the Congress, the CPI and other parties would persuade Mr. Laloo Prasad Yadav to concede the demand for Vananchal to enlist the support of some more parties and independents.

Mr. Nagabhushana Rao said that the CPI along with other secular parties would press for voting on the RSS issue rocking the Lok Sabha under Rule 184. ``The Government can not escape from voting on the issue,'' he said.

He hoped that the TDP, DMK, Trinamul Congress, INLD and other secular constituents of the NDA would prevail on the Centre to direct the Gujarat Government to rescind its order permitting employees to participate in RSS activities.
