Clinton leaves Bangladesh
DHAKA, MARCH 20. The U.S. President, Mr. Bill Clinton, left
Bangladesh tonight, ending a day's visit to the country.
The Bangladesh President, Mr. Shahabuddin Ahmed, and the Prime
Minister, Sheikh Hasina, saw him off at the airport, officials
said. He will return to New Delhi where he began his day.
Mr. Clinton was the first U.S. President to travel to Bangladesh
and he used the visit to showcase efforts to raise incomes,
promote education and reduce child labour.
