Indian language solutions package from TVSE

CHENNAI, MARCH 20. On the occasion of the release of Windows 2000
in Tamil by Microsoft Corporation, TVS Electronics reaffirmed its
commitment to the promotion of language solutions. Partnering the
cause of enabling IT with Indian languages at the launch in
Chennai, TVS-E showcased its Indian language solutions and
announced plans to offer a new IT Appliance which can run on
Windows 2000 and allows Indian language applications.
The new IT Appliance draws from all areas of TVSE's business,
notably from the keyboard and UPS systems. It will offer the
capability to access the Internet using a telephone line and a TV
and is targeted at both home and Government segments which might
have a need for such an Internet appliance.
According to a press release the company was the first to launch
a comprehensive Indian language solutions (ILS) package for the
office and home segments. The ILS keyboard has laser etched key
caps with options of English and any one of eight Indian
languages.
