By Our Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI, MARCH 22. The Government tonight announced a hike in
the administered prices of cooking gas (LPG), kerosene and
aviation turbine fuel (ATF).
The decision to raise the prices was taken here today at a
meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), according to
the Petroleum Minister, Mr. Ram Naik. The price of kerosene has
been more than doubled with a rise of Rs. 2.50 a litre ex-
storage. This will bring the retail prices to Rs. 5.46 a litre in
Delhi and Rs. 5.64 a litre in Chennai. The LPG price has also
been steeply raised with an increase of Rs. 30 a cylinder ex-
