Flight snag forced unscheduled stop?
SINGAPORE, MARCH, 22. A Singapore Airlines plane bound for
Singapore from India made an unscheduled stop in Malaysia due to
a possible engine problem, the Airlines said today.
Flight Sq407, en route to Singapore from Delhi, with 270
passengers and 14 crew members aboard, made an unscheduled stop
at the Kuala Lumpur international airport, it said in a
statement.
After the Boeing 777 landed safely, the passengers were
transferred to another plane for the hourlong flight from Kuala
Lumpur to Singapore yesterday.
A Singapore Airlines spokesman, speaking on condition of
anonymity, said the plane returned to Singapore. He declined to
comment on whether any engine problem had been found.
