Three killed in Bandipore blast
By Our Special Correspondent
JAMMU, MARCH 27. At least three civilians were killed and 15
others injured in a blast aimed at pro-India Ikhwan militants in
Bandipore town of north Kashmir on Monday afternoon. In other
incidents across the Kashmir Valley, nine, including four
militants were killed, police said.
Reports said unidentified militants lobbed a powerful grenade
towards a group of the Ikhwan outfit at Nowpora in Bandipore, 65
km from Srinagar. The grenade, which missed the target and
exploded on a busy road, injured at least 18 civilians. Three of
them succumbed to their injuries while being taken to hospital.
