By Our Corporate Reporter

CHENNAI, APRIL 5. Daewoo Motors India (DMIL) has announced the launch of its Nexia deluxe, the mid segment car, packed with value added and additional luxury features. The company will also be introducing Cielo cars run on compressed natural gas in some cities.

The new Nexia variant is powered by 1.5 litre DOHC engine with higher compression ratio for better overall performance. It is positioned in the upper range of the mid segment and will target customers who are upwardly mobile, self-employed and top professionals in the corporate sector.

Nexia deluxe is an extremely safe Euro II compliant care without any extra cost. The large wheel-base and wide tyres ensure better stability and road grip.

The Cielo CNG is targeted mainly at taxi operators, corporates maintaining fleets and also individuals who drive long distances as the running cost is only 30 per cent of the petrol mode.

The ex-showroom price of Nexia deluxe in Chennai will be Rs. 6.36 lakhs while the standard version will cost Rs. 5.96 lakhs.

For the present, Cielo CNG cars will be available only in Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Surat and Ankleshwar as Chennai has no gas filling stations.
