TDP MPs to stage dharna

HYDERABAD, APRIL 16. Members of Parliament belonging to the Telugu Desam Party have decided to stage a dharna in Parliament House, demanding that the Central Government act quickly to resolve issues pertaining to Andhra Pradesh pending settlement for a long time.

The decision was taken at a meeting of Members of Parliament. There are 29 TDP members in the Lok Sabha and 12 in the Rajya Sabha. The meeting, presided over by the Chief Minister, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, felt that the Centre was not taking the demands of the Telugu Desam MPs seriously.
