'ULFA in touch with Pak. officials'

NEW DELHI, APRIL 19. The ULFA leadership in Assam is in touch with some officials of the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka, the Minister of State for External Affairs, Mr. Ajit Kumar Panja informed the Lok Sabha today.

There is also information that some ULFA leaders have procured foreign passports through fraudulent means, he said in a written reply. The Government has been taking up various security-related issues and ISI's activities with Bangladesh, he said.

The increasingly strident statements made by Pakistan leaders continue to underline Islamabad's active encouragement and sponsorship of cross-border terrorism, the minister said in reply to another question.
