Ranil meets PM
NEW DELHI, APRIL 20. The Leader of the Opposition in the Sri
Lankan Parliament, Mr. Ranil Wickremasinghe, today called on the
Prime Minister, Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee, and discussed with him
regional, international and issues of mutual interest.
Mr. Wickremasinghe, president of the United National Party, has
also met the Home Minister, Mr. L. K. Advani, and the External
Affairs Minister, Mr. Jaswant Singh.
The interaction is part of New Delhi's practice of maintaining
regular contact with the Sri Lankan political leadership,
officials said.
