Ministerial group on security meets

NEW DELHI, APRIL 28. The Group of Ministers, constituted by the
Prime Minister to review the national security system in its
entirety, held its first meeting under the chairmanship of the
Union Home Minister, Mr. L. K. Advani, on Thursday.
During the meeting, the group finalised their work methodology
for undertaking the task.
Other members of the group who attended the meeting were the
Defence Minister, Mr. George Fernandes, the External Affairs
Minister, Mr. Jaswant Singh and the Finance Minister, Mr.
Yashwant Sinha. Besides, the National Security Adviser, Mr.
Brajesh Mishra and the Cabinet Secretary, Mr. Prabhat Kumar, also
attended the meeting.
The group will also consider the recommendations of the Kargil
Review Committee and formulate specific proposals for
implementation.
