Kapil to play in charity match

MUMBAI, MAY 10. India's coach Kapil Dev will play a charity match at the Wankhede Stadium here on Saturday, May 13, before leaving for Pune for the Asia Cup preparatory camp.

The match has been arranged by Mukti Foundation for the drought affected in Rajasthan and Gujarat.

Some of the top Indian players including Sachin Tendulkar who will lead one team and film star Hrithik Roshan will take part in the day/night match at the Wankhede Stadium.

The National Cricket Academy (NCA) has turned down a request from the organisers of this match to release batsman Mohammad Kaif and off-spinner Harbhajan Singh.
