Kumble bags five in Leicester win

LONDON, MAY 15. Leicestershire beat Somerset by six wickets in
the four-day PPP Healthcare Cricket Championship match at Grace
Road in Leicester on Sunday.
On the final day, Somerset was bowled out in its second innings
for 246 in 113.2 overs. P. D. Bowler made 48, while India's Anil
Kumble captured five wickets for 61 runs in 38.2 overs.
Leicester needed to make 124 runs in 36 overs to win the match.
The home side hit the required runs for the loss of four wickets
with B. Smith making an aggressive 45 not out.
Brief scores:
Somerset: 262 and 246 (P.D. Bowler 48, A. Kumble five for 61,
P.A.J. DeFrietas 3 for 48) lost to Leicester: 387 and 124 for 4
in 29.5 overs (B. Smith 45 not out).
Surrey: 417 and 17 for no loss drew with Kent: 115 for two decl.
(R. Dravid 44 not out) and 255 for eight in 92.5 overs. (M. A.
Ealham 83, R. Dravid 71, P.A. Nixon 50 n.o. D. J. Bicknell three
for 58, A. Tudor three for 67).
