Burglars tie up cricketer's wife
DHAKA, MAY 15. Burglars tied up the wife of Bangladesh's star
wicket-keeper Khaleda Masood and fled with cash and jewellery
worth $5,770 (about Rs. 2.5 lakh) from his home in Dhaka, police
said on Monday.
Police said they were yet to track down the burglars, who raided
the house in the Mirpur area when the cricketer's wife, Deeba
Masood, and mother-in-law were alone on Sunday.
``This was done by the locals. They knew well that me and my
father-in-law will be absent at that time,'' Masood told the
Daily Star newspaper.
Masood, who lives in the southwestern district of Rajshahi, has
made his father-in-law's house his home in Dhaka.
