Troops being airlifted
NEW DELHI, MAY 16. Russian and Canadian transport aircraft have
started emergency airlift of 1,500 Indian troops as part of the
rapid build-up of U.N. Peacekeeping Force in Sierra Leone to its
peak strength of 11,000 to contain the growing military
confrontation in the area.
