Satyam's pact with Vignette of U.S.
CHENNAI, MAY 16. Satyam Computer Services and Vignette
Technologies of the U.S. have announced a partnership under which
Satyam would implement solutions based on Vignette's products.
Through this arrangement, Satyam plans to build a new development
centre to provide e-business solutions and build competencies
based on Vignette technologies.
According to a press release, Satyam is making concerted
investments in evolving methodologies for building enterprise
solutions and e-business consulting. It is in the process of
tying up with the best-of-breed technology providers whose
products would form components of Satyam's solutions to its
clients. It has ongoing relationship with SAP and Oracle for e-
business solutions.
Mr. B. Ramalinga Raju, Chairman, Satyam Computer Services states
that the new alliance, would considerably strengthen their e-
business capabilities. ``Through this partnership Satyam now has
access to a host of new e-business implementation opportunities
and Vignette gains access to the Satyam's well-developed
worldwide customer base,'' said Mr. Laurie Frick, Senior Vice-
President, Marketing, Vignette Corporation.
Vignette Corporation, headquartered in Austin, Texas, is a
leading supplier of e-business applications for building online
businesses. It powers more than 600 of the leading dot.com and
Fortune 500 eBusinesses. It has offices located throughout
Europe, Asia and in Australia.
