Seagrams' team for World meet

CHENNAI, MAY 16. Seagrams' Blenders Pride team will represent India in the World Corporate Golf Challenge to be held at the La Manga Club in Spain from May 21 to 25. Golfers from over 30 countries will take part in the event.

Having won the recently concluded Corporate Masters at the DLF Golf & Country Club, the Seagram's Blenders Pride team, comprising Anitya Chand & Jaideep Patwardhan from GAIL, winners in the open category, and Romeo James & Tarun Devan of BPCL, the top finishers in the handicap section, qualified for the tournament in Spain.

The Seagrams Blenders Pride Masters is the officially recognised Indian qualifying event for the World Corporate golf challenge. More than 500 golfers took part in the three zonal championships in Calcutta, Mumbai and Bangalore, which preceded the Masters in Delhi.

Citibank, HSBC, GE Capital, Adidas, Reckitt & Coleman were some of the prominent teams that took part in the Masters. Callaway Golf, Indian Airlines, Indebo Travels, and Hyatt Regency were the co-sponsors, and the event was managed and promoted by IMG.
