Dissent in Cong. not unusual : Mirdha
By Our Special Correspondent
BANGALORE, MAY 24. The senior Congress(I) leader, Mr. Ram Nivas
Mirdha, sees nothing unusual in some party leaders expressing
differing views on the party's economic policies and the
leadership of Ms. Sonia Gandhi.
Replying to questions at a press conference here on Wednesday,
Mr. Mirdha said, ``In our party, there have been some voices of
dissent... It is not unusual because we are an open, pluralistic
democratic party.''
``This (dissenting view) is another proof, if at all proof is
necessary, that we have a working democracy in our party,'' Mr.
Mirdha, who is the Chairman of the party's Central Election
Authority, said.
