Slight increase in Krishna water flow

CHENNAI, MAY 24. The inflow of Krishna water recorded a slight
increase to about 34 cusecs at the zero point on the Andhra
Pradesh-Tamil Nadu border this morning.
The storage in the Poondi reservoir was, however, decreasing as
about 50 cusecs of water was being released every day.
Sources said about three mcft water flowing along the Kandaleru
Poondi Canal was being realised every day and the total
requirement in the city was about 15 mcft a day.
The storage at Poondi was 15.59 mcft on Wednesday. The combined
storage in the reservoirs supplying water to the city was 1,577
mcft with Red Hills recording about 1,248 mcft and
Chemberambakkam 314 mcft.
