Unbeaten century by Prashanth

BANGALORE, MAY 24. Prashanth Peter's hurrican unbeaten 123 (87 balls, 13x4) ensured Vijay Paul Cricket Academy a thumping eight- wicket win over Friends Union in the under-16 section of the Pepsi BPCA ALl India invitation cricket tournament at the KSCA Palace grounds here today.

Friends Union batting first totalled 203 for four with Bhavin Parmar making a superb 82. But then Prashanth Peter's knock gave VPCA a runaway victory.

Satyodai too cracked an unbeaten 143 (75 balls, 22x4, 1x6) to give St. John's Sports Coaching Foundation a 166-run win over Green valley XI, also in the under-16 section.

Brief Scores: Under-12: Vijay Paul CA 179 for four (Aaron Paul 106) lost to TSR Ramaswamy CA 180 for five in 28.1 overs (Vivek Menon 42, Prabhudev 33, Jai Sriram 50).

Under-14: Udupi CA 196 for five (Ubaid 55, Shivprasad 67) lost to Anand Sweets XI 197 for eight (Avinash 53; Shivprasad three for 39).

Pepsi XI 246 for three (Mahesh 112, Sumanth 44) bt Pankaj Roy CA 84 in 22.2 overs (Sumanth three for 19, Prajwal three for 8).

TSR Ramaswamy CA 87 in 23.2 overs (Wassimuddin three for 22) lost to Md. Sporting 90 for two in 11.2 overs (Sunny Das 43).

Brittania XI 106 in 28.4 overs (Avinash 30) lost to Good Samaritans 108 for four in 19.1 overs (AMol 45).

Under-16: St. John's Sports CF 278 for seven (Satyadoi 143 n.o., Vinal 77) bt Green Valley XI 112 in 26.3 overs (Aadarsh balakrishna four for 22, Rohit Bharadwaj four for 20).
