Re-examination on June 21

By Our Staff Reporter

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MAY 30. Re-examination for those who have failed in one subject in the Higher Secondary examination held in March is scheduled for June 21, according to the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education. The results would be announced in the first week of July.

This would help the students to pursue their studies without having to lose an academic year. Based on the number of candidates, there will be at least one centre each in every district. However, the students, while applying for the re- examination, will have to specify the name of the same centre where they had appeared for the first time. Any change in centre would be notified in the hall tickets. Attested copy of the mark list of the original examination will also have to be produced along with the application which should reach the respective centre by June 5.

The fee for those subjects with practicals has been fixed at Rs. 75 and that for subjects devoid of practical examinations will be Rs. 50. An additional sum of Rs. 10 has to be remitted for mark list.
