BSE award for 3 corporates

MUMBAI, JUNE 9. The Bombay Stock Exchange's BSE Corporate Awards 2000 were today awarded to Infosys Technologies, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories and Zee Telefilms. The awards were in the categories of Best Corporate Governance Company, Best Wealth Creator Company and most Investor Friendly Company respectively.

The awards were presented by Mr. Pramod Mahajan, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Information Technology. The awards were accepted by Mr. K. Dinesh, co-founder, Infosys, Dr. K. Anji Reddy, founder chairman, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, and Mr. B. R. Jajoo, chief financial officer, Zee Telefilms. CRISIL Research and Information Services of India Ltd. (CRIS), the Research & Information division of Credit Rating Information Services of India (CRISIL), was appointed for evaluating and ranking the companies for each of the three awards.

Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh, chief minister of Maharashtra, who was also present on the occasion, lauded the key role played by BSE in harnessing information technology in sustained development of capital markets.
