I wish I was a butterfly
I wish I was a butterfly
with bundles of energy.
Happily flying in the air
under the mighty sun's glare.
I would have wings beautiful
with myriad colours plentiful
I will flit from flower to flower
Sipping the ever-sweet nectar
I would have no tension,
since I have no ambition
My life's purpose would be done,
when my eggs become caterpillars;
and into pupa, and then gone
to spread the message of happiness
that nature's bounty is fathomless.
